Message from Gregg Lederman
From the moment we started Brand Integrity seven years ago, our team has remained focused on a
shared purpose: to improve people's lives by providing the tools leaders need
to positively enhance their work culture, realize greater employee success and
increase the profitability of their company.
Our ability to combine award-winning resources, proven methodologies
and top talent is providing us with a strong foundation for achieving this
goal. However, we realize that every business has its own distinct challenges
when it comes to executing its brand and building higher performing work
cultures. To help your company address these obstacles and find new ways
to improve loyalty, sales and profits, we're launching the Brand Integrity
e-Zine. This educational tool will share the latest tips from our team on ways
to enhance operational success; it will highlight how leaders are implementing
best practices to realize measurable results; and it will showcase the possibilities
for driving more competitive advantages for your organization.
In providing this quarterly communication, we hope to provide another highly visible example of how we're working to "achieve brand integrity" by aligning who we say we are with what we actually do. More important, we hope to strengthen the
partnership we have with you in helping your company
stay focused on its core values, behaviors and experiences, and its course for
continued success. If you have suggestions on stories you'd like to see, or additional
ideas on how Brand Integrity can satisfy leadership needs, we'd love to hear
from you. Simply give us a call at 585-442-5404 or send us an e-mail at info@brandintegrity.com
We hope you're finding your own journey in Achieving Brand Integrity both
exciting and memorable.
Regards,
Gregg

| | Not Settling for Success: Cowan, Gunteski & Co. by Alex Powell, Recognition Program Leader
As one of the
fastest growing accounting firms in New
Jersey, and named one of the "Best Places to Work" in
2008 by NJBiz, Cowan, Gunteski &
Co. (CG) is a very successful firm. While growth and achievement were always a
part of the company's focus, in 2006 Managing Partner Don Cowan was beginning
to get concerned about the impact continued growth could have on the company's
future.
"Part of what made
us successful was our culture, and I knew if we grew too quickly, this culture
might be lost," explains Cowan. "We
needed to find a way to make our growth sustainable." Click here to keep reading.

May Book Recommendations by Patrick Ahern, Partner and Chief Experience Officer
It Isn't Just Business, It's Personal: How PAETEC Thrived When All the Big Telecoms Couldn't
Why
this book has value: There are lots of business books out there that
describe a company's rise up through an industry. However, very few of the
books focus on the "people" (employees) behind the company as being the
fundamental difference in why the company was able to move ahead of the
competition and grab market share. This book details in narrative form how PAETEC,
led by CEO Arunas Chesonis, was able to define its culture using four
fundamental principles that represent everything the company believes in and
stands for. This book is a refreshing read that not only will validate, but
increase your admiration for a CEO who understands what it means to create a
great place to work by putting people first.
Fierce Conversations: Achieving Success at Work & In Life, One Conversation at a Time
Why
this book has value: Let's just say I wish I had read this book 20
years ago and read it at least once every year after that. The idea that we
succeed or fail in our lives one conversation at a time is a concept that we
all should take to heart. Susan Scott masterfully empowers the reader to
understand the importance and impact that "conversation" has on our life, as
well as helps us gain the insight and skills to make every conversation we have
count. This is not just a business book, it's a book about life. I would run,
not walk to get your hands on this gem.
